Northern Illawarra Tuition specialises in one-to-one professional tuition in English, English literacy and Mathematics, designing learning programs that cater to your child’s needs which are aligned to state and national standards. We assist students with remedial support, extension work for advanced learners and preparation for standardised exams like NAPLAN. Additionally, we believe collaboration is key to improve or enhance your child's learning therefore we collaborate with your child's school teacher to ensure intervention is targeted.
Assignments
Northern Illawarra Tuition assists students who find it challenging to start or complete assignments or want to enhance their school project. Primarily aimed at high school students, we facilitate in helping students research, generate and transfer their ideas in a creative and accurate manner.
Mathematics
Northern Illawarra Tuition aims to not only improve your child’s academic performance but also promote confident, active and creative learners that develops their independence with a positive attitude towards learning.
The Process
Students participate in a variety of assessments to identify gaps in their learning which informs authentic rich learning experiences. With an identified focus, students will receive explicit instruction, with modelling and an explanation of what they need to learn and why they need to learn it. Students are provided with new knowledge in manageable chunks and learning is scaffolded to suit their needs. Students receive clear feedback and ongoing assessment throughout the learning process as they apply their new knowledge and practise new skills in set tasks.
